Since the early ages of civilisations, human has somehow possessed that wildly instinctive, natural, and somewhat spiritual connection towards the chaotic, yet ordered repetitions in beat, and the distinctive, yet simultaneous vibrations in various sound; both of which, when put together in unison and sequence, synthesise into something beautiful. Something that can tranquillise yet activate the mind, can abate yet excite the soul; something that makes our bodies shake, urges our limbs to move, and encourages our souls to bond; something to lay our emotions upon. Something that we know as music...

We are a growing community that seek to connect with each others via music. We are doing so by:

  • Hosting weekly events: We are hosting different events at least once a week. You can find out about what kind of event we can run, as well as navigate upcoming events.

  • Communicating effectively via social media: Announcement and posts can be found on our Instagram accounts. You may find our Facebook account, which is not active at the moment)

  • Connecting people via group chats: For members, join our Discord channel to access updates, announcements, make friends, engage in chats and forums, and promoting your musics

Workshop 4 - Drumming For beginners

Our workshop 4 is approaching, and I hope you are excited about it just as we are 🤩🤩🤩 🥁🪘 Drum is an ancient instrument that is as old as the existence of civilisation, the creation of sound of different pitch just by the act of striking your palm or a stick on top an object was a concept that set the very foundation to music itself 😮.  In this day and age, unlike the guitar, drumming is simply a luxury for many: it takes up too much space, it is loud, and it is expensive. It is a hassle to own and maintain one. the teaching of drumming therefore is also a luxury: rare and expensive 🙂‍↔️💸 But the drums are still beloved amongst people, especially our members: we have seen a lot of people come to us and request to play the drum although they have never touched one. There are more people being curious about this instrument than we thought. In fact, the drumming workshop we host last semester was the most popular workshop we had 😮 That is why we would like to host this drumming workshop again this semester. Our workshop will involve: - 🎼Basic drum theories and practices: Beat, rudiments, and practices methodology - 🥁Getting to play the drum This session is carried out to you by Azit Nguyen and our special guests 😎 Azit is a certified and trained drummer who are passionate in music and drumming and is our beloved Treasurer.  If this is something you are interested in, come and join us: 📍Building 104, Room 101 📅Thursday, 17th of September 🕕 6 pm - 8 pm The workshop is hosted along with our jam session (in room 102), so please feel free to come and join along 😁 We are looking forward to seeing you 🫵😎
